It's apparent you’re a parent........

when you are woken up at 4 am by a toy who's batteries have malfunctioned, thus making it sing and talk at random times. You then have to search the house for where it is and remove the batteries so that it doesn't start up again so that you can sleep! :)

Fair Oaks Farms

We took the kids for an afternoon recently to Fair Oaks Farms Dairy which is only about 20 minutes from our house. Its a cute place and the kids loved it! They have a birthing barn, where you can watch calves being born, a bus tour of the actual dairy and barns, a chance to see the cows being milked, some discovery things, a 4-D movie and of course a small restaurant area where you can get cheese and ice cream and other foods. Ali could have sat in the birthing barn all day I think! She loved it! They have a small outdoor area with a slide and some other activites that was closed because it was kinda chilly out, so we may take the kids back again some time.

Dakota is watching me put together this post and he climbed up on me and whispered in my ear "Wanna go see the cows again." They certainly enjoyed themselves!
