Job 12:9-10 (King James Version)

"...9) Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? 10) In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind..."

Last week at Grandpa Bahler's funeral, it was mentioned that at the time of his death, he had 30 great-grandchildren. The part they didn't mention was that our Ali is the oldest. She was 7 (almost 8). 30 greatgrandchildren in less then 8 years is a huge legacy to leave behind!

Sadly, for those of us left here on earth, one of those great-grandchildren left to be with Grandpa Bahler yesterday. I know we can't know what Heaven is really like but I like to imagine Grandpa meeting little Addie at the gate and rocking her in his arms. We don't always understand why God works the way He does but I pray that the family can rest in the knowledge that God is in control and His ways are perfect.

Please be prayerful for Paul's cousin John and his wife Teresa as they lay to rest their sweet, 11 month old, Addie. My heart just breaks for them, I can't imagine the pain they face and I pray they will feel God's arms wrapped around them and draw comfort from Him!!

Grandpa Bahler

For those of you that knew Grandpa Bahler, you are aware that he was all about sharing the love of Jesus with others. I am sure there is a great celebration going on in heaven as he is welcomed Home!

Here is a link to his obituary in the Lafayette paper: http://www.jconline.com/article/20110319/OBITS/103190310/1114/Edwin-Bahler-84

Please be prayerful for our family as we say good-bye this weekend to a wonderful husband, father and grandfather!

Mini - Vacation

We spent the weekend in Lafayette with who we refer to as the "Camping Couples". It's several families that we used to camp with when I was younger. Some of them still do camp, but my family just goes with them when they do a hotel weekend, usually in March. :) The kids loved the pool, as usual, and that's about all the pictures I have, since that is where I spent most of my time.

We ended up doing an impromptu singing. Dad just happened to have sheet music with him. Anybody surprised by that? No? I didn't think so! :)

Trae would climb out of the pool and just stand there. Shivering. I am not sure why he liked doing that so much!

My three favorite guys!

Trae loved it!

Poor little guy...

Doesn't he just look miserable?

I am so glad he is back to his smiling, mischievous, mess making self!
We had a nasty virus run its course through our house last week. I don't have any pictures of Dakota but he was by far the worst. There were about 3 days that he slept almost non-stop. He would wake up for a drink every once in a while and then stare at the ceiling for a short time before falling back to sleep. It was a little scary! He was still very weak for about 3 days after that.
So glad they are all back to normal!!
