Our "new normal" is becoming routine now that it's been in effect for a week. In February we sold the house we have lived in for 11 years and last week we officially moved out. As we make some decisions about buying a new home or building and where that will be, we are in a temporary home which happens to be a cute little farmhouse. We used to look out the window and see other houses. Now we see sheds, semis and farmland. :) It's a bit different. The kids ride the bus a tad longer in the afternoon and we no longer have to go to the bus stop, the bus comes right to our driveway. And as Dakota says "It's so QUIET here!"

There was of course lots of packing to do! It drove me a little crazy to have partially filled, open boxes in every room and the den a maze of packed boxes!

We had lots of fabulous helpers! Although my wonderful friend Gina may think twice about helping again since she seemed to end up with all the heavy boxes!!!
The kids are adjusting well. And if you happened to have spoken with Ali while our house was on the market, you know this is a huge blessing! She cried (sobbed actually) on a regular basis for the 8 months our house was on the market. Continually voicing her protest at leaving the only house she has ever known! In her words she "hates change". :) I think she has decided maybe it's not quite as bad as she thought it would be!
If you think of it, we would appreciate prayers as we make decisions on the next house!

Poor Ali - I figured that she would be excited, not sad. But I''m sure she'll adjust great :)
Been thinking about you so much lately! Wish we could be there to help. We'll be praying for you guys, it's not easy stuff! Miss you all so much!
Its tough when its hard on the kids to have to change, but at the same time it is SO GOOD for them to go thru it not only to realize its not always that bad, but also to help them for when they grow up, because LIFE is always changing and thats what God wants for us...if we get stuck in the same routine and habits we don't grow nearly as much as we could in the lord otherwise. Praying for you guys that a "permanant" home won't be to far around the corner. Hope the boxes came in handy:).

Wow, I'm so behind - just now saw this! YAY that you sold your house! I know it's bittersweet. :) I'll be excited to hear what you decide to do for your next house!
